While I was cleaning out some stuff in my closet last night, I found this old script I wrote for my sixth grade Reading class. It was an assignment, but I don't exactly remember the details. I imagined it would have been to write a comedy or something. The title of my script was "The Walking Disasters". I decided to amuse myself and read something I wrote almost ten years ago. I never got to really read the story because I was just in the cast of characters, I was already cringing in embarrassment. Honestly, it was so bad--although my teacher gave me a 96 (wonder what her basis was? Grammar? Punctuation? Definitely not plot development!). Still, it was so... immature. It's hard writing comedy and I think my script sounded so TH. I guess that was the end of my solo script-writing career. I never really wrote scripts alone after that.

I also found a whole slew of short stories written by me during class hours all through out my late grade school and high school years. I still can't find the courage to read them now. Maybe when I've stopped cringing from my script.

I have found another chocolate dessert to add to my list of favorite chocolate desserts: Jumbo Jap's Walnut Fudge Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream. Augh! Absolutely to die for. I am such a chocoholic. My other favorite chocolate desserts are (in order of how I like them now): Old Swiss Inn's Toblerone Fondue, Italianni's Tartufo and Kulinarya's Flourless Chocolate Cake. Sigh.

I just noticed I like warm chocolate desserts. Except for the Tartufo, the rest are served warm. I guess eating warm desserts gives me a comforting, loved-and-secure-when-I-was-five feeling. The chocolate also just tastes so much better--well, much sweeter.

The commentator in this morning's Mass in our subdivision was my first year high school class adviser! Now that was weird! I hadn't seen her since I graduated from high school... actually, I didn't see her much when I was in my upper years in high school. I don't know, I guess I wasn't particularly fond of her when she was my CA. I didn't find her that approachable or open to a bunch of not-quite-over-grade-school girls (our classroom was situated near the pre-school's playground, so during recess, you could find my classmates there). Maybe because she was much older already? Anyway, seeing her brought back good and bad memories. More good than bad. First year high school was full of fun, fun, fun--we had new gala uniforms pa and we would be taking up Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar". There was Hell Week and new clubs and stuff. Not fun, though, was the later dismissal time and stricter rules (as in!). Still. First year was different and quite not what I expected from it.

I knew it! I shouldn't be watching Survivor na talaga! Mainly because I get so caught up with the tribes and the people there. I was able to watch S3 painlessly because I was rooting for Ethan all the way (he's super nice and cute pa. Among the Survivor fans I know, no one seemed to be against him. No vote against him ever and he ended up with the million dollars). S2 was painless also because I knew Elisabeth wasn't going to last. I missed S4 because I had class on Fridays 'til 7:30 in the evening and by the time I got home, S4 was over (it wasn't shown on AXN either for replays and such). And now I started S5, and one of my favorites (well, so far) has been voted off already! *sad* This is why I don't follow soaps--I get so into their lives. I might lay off reality TV stuff for a while.

Okay, here's a Friday Five:
1. What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind?
Sleep, read or re-read a mindless book, just lie in bed, wander around somewhere.
2. What do you do the moment you get home from work/school/errands?
Change my clothes and wash up. It's a way of removing the grubby feeling of commuting, smog and all that.
3. What are your favorite aromatherapeutic smells?
The one in Origins' Peace of Mind. I used to think it was mint, until I read all the ingredients--no mint, but a mixture of all sorts of herbs and stuff. I use that a lot to remove headaches, stress or to clear all the cobwebs in my mind (Peace of Mind junkie! I used to bring it to school before!).
4. Do you feel more relaxed with a group of friends or hanging out by yourself?
Depends on my mood, but generally, I like being with friends.
5. What is something that you feel is relaxing but most people don't?
Hmm... people will find me weird, but I like to think of story plots and character developments in my mind. I work on those and just figure it out and it does relax me. I've been doing that since I was a kid, but I don't normally put those stories in writing. Why? I think it won't come out as well as in my mind. Weird noh?

Finally, I have my blog all fixed up! I'm happy at how it turned out--it has the same template as the one that my barkada's blog used to look (thanks Jo for the tip). I really found this template super cute, albeit too girly for my liking. Still, it's pretty and I'm glad my blog looks pretty neat from my pov. Maybe one day I'll overhaul this whole look, but right now I am just pretty content at what it is.
