Since I was at home for a full week without anything to do, I had the TV to amuse me. I think I read skimmed most of the magazines at home and I wasn't quite up to reading my books (still not done with Elegance) because of my headache, throat and fever, so I had the TV to amuse me. Had it on during lunch time - something to get me through to eating (no appetite) and medicines - oh wow, these noontime variety shows are quite something. Not a fan of Willie on Wowowee, but Poky never fails to humor me. Or the contestants, for that matter. In the afternoon, there are reruns of Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, America's Next Top Model and an assortment of sitcoms. There's American Idol, too! I like the judges this year, especially with Ellen! But definitely, if there's one show that I got hooked on and am proud to say I am...

a Gleek!

Ugh, yes I am a Gleek. Better late than never, I know. I had been singing "Defying Gravity" on the radio for the longest time already, but it's only now I was able to watch the 13 episodes. And now I am waiting for the next episodes! Which will be in April yet! Argh should not have started!

But I can't help it. The show is fun and light and gratifying. I enjoy the songs and dancing - who knew Glee Club is show choir-esque (really, Glee in school before was very different. Just singing, no dancing)? :P I heart Mr Schuester! Finn, too. ♥ And I love Kurt. I don't know why, he is just too cute and I think I would want him for a friend.

I've been listening to the music also online. The music are generally fresh takes on old songs, which is great because it gives a new appreciation for these songs. I never liked "True Colors" until I heard their cover. And being online means I'm also looking up spoilers, updates or whatever for the upcoming episodes! Something to look forward to. :) Happy to have finally watched Glee and become a Gleek, it was a very good distraction from being sick the past week.

I am at home for the fifth day in a row because I am a sick clam - well, have been sick since Sunday and today was the only day that the fever has gone down. Imagine, fever for five days? :( I was just so out of it. Went to the nearby hospital Monday night for a check up that included a blood test and a whole bunch of meds to alleviate the fever and pain. But the fever still didn't go down until today. I went to get a second blood test today and got an x-ray too. I cannot look at the crooks of my arms because the left one (where the first blood test was done) is a yellowish-greenish bruisey color - the vein collapsed or something and the right one feels, well, strange. :P I have a strange diagnosis from the doctors - I really don't get it, but based on what the doctors said, it's an infection, etc. I am just relieved it's not dengue fever. So much for my resolution not to go on sick leave the whole year this year. How come I could do it during school and most of my CTP days but not now? :( I hate being so sickly all of a sudden.
