Okay, it's a week before Christmas and guess who hasn't begun her Christmas shopping yet? ME!

Goodness. I usually enjoy shopping for Christmas gifts. I don't know, I find such a thrill finding the perfect items for my friends. I used to make time to wander around the mall, checking out my favorite stores and pick unusual gifts which I know my friends will appreciate. This year though, I wasn't able to shop or think of what to give my friends. Not enough time management, a skill I sorely have not mastered. So... I don't know. Maybe I will cram shopping tomorrow or Thursday. Good luck to me.

But speaking of gifts. Don't you just love the packaging of Beauty Bar for the holidays? The only gifts (book from National and shower gel from Beauty Bar) I was able to buy so far was for my baby in our office's Kris Kringle last Friday. Such pretty paper bag! I'm a sucker of little details like that little blue ribbon on the handle, pretty flowery designs and the blue and brown combination. I was so tempted to just give the Ginger and Lime Shower Gel to myself (in fairness, it smells good! I thought at first, ginger?!) because of the wrapping/paper bag. Cute!

Oh, my Kris Kringle mommy gave me Starbucks GCs! Thanks to Karina! The funny thing was, before the party/big reveal, I rode with Karina to our boss' house. She said we needed to stop by Starbucks to get her baby's gift. Hehe. Funny that I was with her while buying what was to be my gift. (We didn't know who our mommies/babies beforehand because we had Christmas-themed code names.)

And I don't know if I do sound giddy in this entry, but I was pretty happy when I got home yesterday because my dad bought me a new book. He bought me The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and last month, he also got me The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards. I have yet to read both (looking forward to that). Even if I'm much older and can afford to buy books, I still get a thrill whenever my dad buys me books! It's always a good, happy feeling when that happens - reminiscent of my grade school days when I always got a new Sweet Valley or Baby Sitter's Club and of high school days, when every month, I would have the latest issue of Seventeen. Books and reading materials are really one of our indulgences. :)

Oh wow, now is the first time I've actually had time to breathe and sit down and blog. Goodness, it's been a busy time - work and school - and I'm having a pretty steady time. I like the busy-ness and I feel pretty useful and purposeful. It's been okay so far (except for two all-nighters, but that's my fault). December's full and I'm enjoying!

Can't quite believe the year is almost ending, I feel like the year just zipped by and I haven't accomplished anything! Looking back, it was a lot of eating out, coffee, movies, tears... well, okay I think I will reserve my year end reflection later on this month! I don't think I'm ready to be sentimental just yet on my "off" night.

Other than that, I'm weird and nonchalant about Christmas shopping: I haven't done a thing! Goodness, haven't been to any bazaar or mall recently. It only occurred to me I should start when my officemates were talking about our "gift grab" this Friday. I think the only gift I've bought so far is for my baby in our Kris Kringle (made easy with us listing down our wish list). My baby's was pretty easy, I was able to pick up a gift for her in National. Yay. And I think I know what my mommy plans to give me so yay! That's exciting because I love organizers and journals so I think I'm getting that. Ooh giddy.
